Apps of the Week

We are only a week and a half away from Halloween! Of course, before you head off to a party dressed as everyone’s favorite naughty nurse you’ll have to try to finish up that mid-term project. It is an unfortunate task that has to be done, and that is why we present to you some apps to help you pull an all-nighter and finish that project management presentation (–or whatever subject you may be pulling an all-nighter for).

Stopwatch & Timer – Seems easy enough, a timer to remind you when you need to start writing that English paper. Actually, we all know you’ll probably end up getting sucked into a Law & Order marathon, or worse…cleaning your room before you start that task. Instead download this timer and choose the most annoying default alarm, or choose an annoying MP3 and set it as your default alarm. Next time you need to crank a paper out in a few hours, set your alarm and you’ll be reminded by the most annoying sound in the world that you should have it finished. Download any stopwatch and timer for your computer, or smart phone to get started.

Google Presentations – Available through any computer, Google docs allows you to work on presentations with group members. This is by far a better alternative than sending a PowerPoint presentation back and forth via email. Each enabled user’s changes will be marked making it easier to track if everyone is participating in the group work .There are also over 50 new features being rolled out for Google presentations which will allow you to create better presentations just in time for mid-terms.

Wunderlist- Available for practically every platform including iOS, Android, Mac OS, and Windows this nice task manager allows you to create new tasks and categories. You can move tasks between categories, change due dates, share your to-do lists with others and collaborate on projects. All your to-do lists are also synchronized on to your Wunderlist account on the web.
