They are renowned for their dentistry, medical, pharmacy, graduate, and nursing programs and they have outstanding treatment centers from everything from kidney transplant to oncology.

Biotechnology is a form of applied biology that makes use of living organisms in fields such as technology, medicine, and engineering. If you began your day by consuming a bowl of cereal, you came into contact with biotechnology. Popped an aspirin for your mid-afternoon headache?  Yes, biotechnology. The reality is biotechnology is so expansive and found nearly everywhere andyou are interacting with it on a daily basis!

Obtaining a degree in biotechnology or biomedicine doesn’t simply mean you will don a lab coat immediately upon graduation and launching your career. Students who decide to enter this sector quickly discover they can select from a broad spectrum of employment opportunities such as management, marketing, quality control, biomedical engineer, and much more.

Technology has even made it possible for students interested in acquiring their biotechnology degrees to do so online if they desire. This trend is increasing due to the number of full time employees who are interested in attending college but need more flexibility with regards to finances and time management. Online coursework is one viable solution to meet these students’ needs.

The entire biotechnology industry is emphasizing a more collaborative approach with other scientists across the globe so now is a great time to find out more information about how a degree in biotechnology could serve you.
