The purpose of this course is to identify causes of action and to learn the concepts and differences between general defense and affirmative defense. Students will also learn to identify the major affirmative defenses.
By the end of this course, students will recognize and be able to define the following terms: cause of action, ex contractu, ex delicto, affirmative defenses and vicarious liability.
