In this course, students will learn about the different types of jurisdiction and research the judicial structure of their own state. It’s important to understand the two court systems -- federal and state -- and their interrelationship. This course will discuss both court systems and how these courts acquire jurisdiction to hear a case or make a decision between the two parties.
