The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the concepts of remedies -- both legal and equitable -- as well as post-judgment remedies. The class will also discuss ex contractu and ex delicto and how they relate to legal and equitable remedies.

Course Objectives

• By the end of this course, students will be able to recognize and define the following key terms: remedy, legal remedy, equitable remedy, damages, nominal damages, pre-judgment interest, compensatory damages, punitive damages, special damages, liquidated damages, personal injury and property damage.
