Rules of Evidence Courses

In this course, students will discuss the Federal Rules of Evidence, the Hearsay Rule and its major exceptions, relevance as it pertains to evidence and judicial notice and presumptions. Participants will also learn the rules relating to witnesses and experts, as well as document authentication.

By the end of this course, students will be able to identify and define the following key terms: admissible evidence, material facts, ultimate fact, demonstrative evidence, substantive evidence, impeachment evidence, res ipsa loquitor, relevant evidence, parol evidence, expert evidence, circumstantial evidence, direct evidence, corroborating evidence, judicial notice, presumption and hearsay.
