The Information and Technology Pathway Certificate prepares students who are interested in pursing a career in the IT field. Key topics covered by this certificate include computer hardware, databases, computer programming, networking and the internet.
This certificate prepares interested students for a career in website development. Students will learn how to create web pages in HTML as well as how to incorporate multimedia, graphics, images and animation onto a site. Knowing how to incorporate these tools helps boost user productivity, on-site traffic and web interaction, leaving employers happy and satisfied. Upon graduation, students are prepared to take the CompTIA i-Net+ certification exam. Students will also be prepared for World Organization of Webmasters’ certified professional webmaster status. To be considered for the program, students must have an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
This program prepares students for entry-level jobs and career advancement in computer programming. Students will learn three programming languages (Visual Basic, HTML and C++). The program provides foundational knowledge to students thinking about continuing their study in advanced programming. Only students with an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university will be eligible for this program.
