Through education and training in the areas of liberal arts, computer applications, and substantive and procedural law, graduates of the Paralegal Studies program are qualified to provide legal support in a variety of professional settings that is customarily, but not exclusively, performed by a lawyer. These include law offices, corporations, and state and federal governmental agencies. Graduates are able to work under the supervision of an attorney and have demonstrated competencies to handle specific functions in practice areas that do not require a law degree.
