Associate of Business Administration-Accounting/Management

An associate of business administration in accounting and management is geared towards students who find enjoyment in math, are natural leaders, and who are detail-oriented. It is a two year program that stresses applying and prepping accounting standards to presentations, integrating daily cost accounting principles, estimating the value of equities and liabilities, developing competencies in non-profit accounting, finances, taxation, management, and auditing. Students must employ critical thinking skills and strong problem solving abilities when faced with challenges. Students who procure their associate of business administration in accounting and management degrees can look forward to future employment in entry-level positions within business environments such as Audit Associate, Junior Staff Accountant, Financial Data Analyst, or Payroll Administrator. Companies often seek students who have their two-year degrees because these students are equipped to maintain and create organized financial records. Theoretical frameworks are employed and integrated into accounting and management projects so students can utilize skills that will be used upon graduating. Students understand that they must conduct research in accounting and management principles and they may apply these ideologies through hands-on projects. Many students further their educations by continuing on and obtaining their bachelor’s in related fields. Some students even perform upper level graduate work.
