Associate of Science in Graphic Design

For students just embarking on a creative career path, the Academy's Associate of Science degree program in Graphic Design is structured to provide a real-world understanding of the roles and responsibilities of today's graphic designers in the modern workplace. By studying the fundamentals of computer graphics, advertising and design, students can learn how to work with clients to help them communicate ideas visually. They will also be instructed how to generate creative ideas for packaging, imaging and design as they become comfortable with graphics programs like PhotoShop and Illustrator. By learning the basic theories of advertising, layout, type, color and illustration, graduates of the A.S. degree program in Graphic Design can prepare themselves to become Jr. Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Electronic Publishers and many other in-demand positions in the creative workforce.
