Each Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree rests solidly on a general education foundation, allowing you to design and plan your degree to meet your employment or higher education goals. The Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies curriculum offers a broad liberal arts education to help prepare you for a variety of career paths†and brings you at least halfway toward a bachelor's degree. Pursue an open concentration or choose a degree emphasis area in communication, educational paraprofessional, or early childhood development. Do you picture yourself working with younger children in a day care or educational setting? Study to acquire the basic knowledge and skills required to work exclusively with infants, toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten-aged children.‡ Focus on infant and toddler development, nutrition, health, and caring for children with special needs. Coursework emphasizes childhood education, creative activities, and curriculum planning.
