Leaders are not only born, they can be grown with a solid education and foundations in critical thinking, analysis, and decision making. Especially when it comes to organizing individuals toward the completion of a collective task or in several separate tasks, good leaders that understand useful strategies for motivation and project development are a necessity. A bachelor in organizational administration and leadership may guide students in the process of becoming effective leaders. Students can be taught pragmatic knowledge such as accounting, basic management practices and issues, and economics. Students may also be taught more intuitive aspects such as gender issues, the ethics of businesses and organizations, and theories of organizational structure and management. With the combination of the two, students could help themselves be prepared to lead businesses and organizations.
Leadership is an important quality in many careers, but it will be especially useful in some such as sales and management. In sales positions, graduates could understand how to act as representatives for organizations and businesses, and how to deal well with people and work within their organizational structures. As managers in many industries, graduates may be able to apply leadership and organizational principles more directly as they guide the actions of those working beneath them. Positions in human resources are also viable options for graduates of the program, as the profession calls upon many of the people and organizational techniques learned throughout the degree.
