Organizational management is the degree for those who wish to become experts in organizational strategies for businesses. Some programs, may allow eligible students to transfer credits from environmental science toward the program. Environmental science deals with analytical and research skills as well as with law, government, and ethical issues. All of those skills will be useful for a degree in organizational management, which will cause students to apply analytical thinking, ethical reasoning, and knowledge of regulatory matters to the organizational structure and group dynamics issues of large or medium-sized organizations. Other necessary skills involve communication strategies between individuals and groups, and how to plan ahead when it comes to various projects and initiatives.
Since a degree program like organizational management will have such a focus on working with people to accomplish mutual goals, careers in human resources are ideal. Understanding how to deal with people, communicate, and understand desires well are all useful for a career in sales as well. If the student has transferred credits from environmental science, the knowledge of regulation and ethical concerns may also be of great help in lobbying for organizations or working for the government. Just about any career that requires good communication and organizational skills will be viable with the degree.
