A bachelor of art in sports and recreation management is a professional four year degree that involves managing, planning, leading, and overseeing recreational, athletic, and leisurely activities for every age group whether in commercial, private, or public environments. Students will learn business skills that will assist in increasing management knowledge and abilities. Obtaining a bachelor of art in sports and recreation management encourages students to study varied issues and concerns facing business plan development, sports administration, banking, and venture capital. It is an exciting field with numerous employment opportunities that will prepare students for every aspect of sports management including finance, marketing, and operations and facilities management. Students who graduate with their bachelor of art in sports and recreation management degree can pursue different positions within the industry and work in sectors like college athletics, manufacturing and marketing of sports equipment and services, professional organizations and clubs, commercial facilities, managing a team or fitness center, sports law, or sports media. Mastering event operations, communicating, selling tickets, sponsoring, and marketing within the sports industry are all skills students will learn.
