Entrepreneurship has been shown to be a driver in economic development across the board in virtually every industry. Many people may have a great idea, but just aren’t sure how to get it off the ground. If you are a person who is full of great ideas, and who wants to run your own company, you may want to enroll in a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration entrepreneurship degree completion program. These programs are especially designed for students who already have a certain amount of college credits and who need flexibility in their schedules because of work or other obligations. Generally speaking, a degree completion program could be completed in three years or less, depending on the program you are enrolled in and the number of previous college credits you have. A BA in entrepreneurship may give you a strong foundation in skills and knowledge for building a business from the ground up. Many entrepreneurship programs have a start-up component as part of the course work; students may be required to plan, start up, and manage a small business as a project. Many schools also have “idea” competitions in which the prize for the best start up idea is seed money. Students who complete an entrepreneurship degree will graduate with the knowledge, skills, and networking ability to begin brainstorming new start up ideas, or to bring entrepreneurial thinking to the company they are already employed by.
