The Bachelor of Science in Education/Elementary Teacher Education degree program prepares candidates for teacher licensure at the elementary level.* Through student teaching and coursework that focuses on classroom management, models and theories of instruction, legal and ethical issues in education, and professional development, students develop the skills and knowledge needed to become competent and effective educators. *Each student/applicant is responsible for checking with his or her state Department of Education and/or school district to determine specific credentialing requirements.
