BS in Professional and Liberal Studies

Professional and liberal studies is a great degree program for the career-minded. The degree will prepare students in a number of important business matters in addition to many traditional liberal arts studies involving the arts, humanities, and social sciences to instill a well-rounded education. Students will take classes in professional communication, leadership, financial management, and basic computer proficiencies. Critical thinking and pragmatic business skills are important in the degree, and students that complete the program can expect to be well-trained in both. The business aspect of the program entails that students receive instruction on mathematics and the liberal arts aspect of the program ensures that students will be trained in writing and research. There may also be opportunities to direct your own studies in some programs to favor certain aspects over others to more finely tune your experience and education.

With a good business sense, leadership skills, and a well-rounded liberal arts education, many career opportunities lay open to a graduate of the bachelor’s in science professional and liberal studies program. Career options include business and teaching for secondary education. As is typical of many undergraduate programs, the pursuit of higher education may yield greater rewards, for which the bachelor’s degree is an apt start.
