Cardiovascular/EKG Technician

This program prepares graduates for both the administrative and clinical office with an emphasis in Electrocardiograph (EKG) and Cardiovascular skills.

This program will provide the graduate with the skills and knowledge to perform non-invasive cardiovascular exams, including EKG and stress EKG, that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions as Cardiovascular/EKG Technicians and Medical Assistants.

Employment will grow at a faster-than-average rate. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in America. The aging of the population will place higher demands on medical services in general, and, since heart disease is largely a disease of the older population.

A hospital, doctor's office, or medical clinics are the most common working environments for EKG Technicians.
