Argosy University developed the EdD in Instructional Leadership program to address the growing need for curriculum supervisors. This program is ideal for students who wish to master teaching methodologies, become curriculum supervisors, or become educational leaders with curriculum and instruction as their main focus.The program can enhance your professional expertise and classroom skills while you explore the historical, philosophical, psychological, technical, theoretical and practical aspects of education and institutional administration. Argosy University designed this EdD program for working professionals who want to pursue a balance between their career, family, and education.
In addition to learning specialized skills, the program can prepare students to meet the demands of current educational practice, make research-based decisions, implement instructional technology and respond to ethical and professional issues within the educational community.
In the EdD Instructional Leadership program you will take courses that are designed to reinforce and expand core skills in all aspects, both practical and theoretical, of education, as well as to introduce you to advanced curriculum training. The Education Technology concentrationis designed to enhance classroom skills with technology in education as a focal point. Studies specific to this concentration include organizational communication systems, integrating technology into the classroom, instructional design, distance learning technologies and teaching methodologies.
