Graduate Certificate in Accounting and Information Technology

UMUC's Graduate Accounting and Information Technology Certificate emphasizes an understanding of how information systems affect accounting. Focus is on the development of systems and managing the risk and security related to systems.

Core coursework includes: Financial Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, IT Acquisitions Management, as well as Computer Security, Software Assurance, Hardware Assurance and Security Management. Students must have an undergraduate minor in accounting (or 15 credits in undergraduate accounting) with a minimum grade of "C" in each course to enroll in this certificate program. This certificate requires 12 semester hours to complete.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Individual programs may have additional requirements.
