Graduate Certificate in Policy and Management of Distance Education

UMUC's Graduate Policy and Management of Distance Education Certificate focuses on all aspects related to the management and policy definition within the distance education enterprise. It includes a systemic view of distance education, fundamentals of the economics of distance education, the diverse facets of business in distance education, quality assurance and control, and leadership in distance education.

Core coursework includes: Costs and Economics of Distance Education, The Business of Distance Education, Assessment and Quality Assurance, and Leadership in Distance Education. This certificate requires 12 semester hours to complete.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Individual programs may have additional requirements.
