Master in the Art of Teaching-Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, K-12

Marygrove College's online Master in the Art of Teaching (MAT) with a Focus on Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment is a degree program that provides classroom teachers access to research-based strategies that will empower them to become teacher leaders. By the end of this program, participants will embody commitment to their students, their colleagues, and their school communities. Additionally, the program as a whole incorporates the five Core Principles of Teaching as described by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).

It is an expectation that upon completion of this degree, teachers actively apply these principles: Teachers are committed to students and learning; Teachers know the subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students; Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring student learning; Teachers think systematically about their practice and learn from experience; Teachers are members of learning communities. Core and specialty courses include: Teacher as Leader, Understanding Teaching and Learning, Instructional Design, Effective Assessment, Teacher as Researcher, and Meeting the Needs of All Students. This degree requires completion of 30 graduate credits.

To enroll in the online master's degree program you must currently possess a teaching certificate and an undergraduate degree, be employed as a full-time teacher, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher from your undergraduate institution. Not available to residents of Georgia.

Health Studies-Health Management Bachelor's

If you are interested in health management or administration, you can pursue a concentration in Health Management. Courses cover the behavioral, cultural, ethical, and legal issues related to improving the underlying health status of the community and the delivery of health care services in a variety of environments.
