This program gives the aspiring geriatric care manager the information they need concerning the financial and lifestyle issues their elderly clients will face. Topics covered in this course include long-term care, housing concerns for the elderly and Medicare. Students can also expect to look at subjects such as retirement plan distributions, estate planning, sources of retirement income, long-term care insurance and special investment needs. Students will apply what they learn in case studies.
