This class gives students an overview of all the career opportunities that are available to an individual in the forensic nursing field. Topics covered include types of crime, how to document injuries in writing, forensic photography and body worksheets and diagrams. Participants will be given the tools to conduct a physical on a victim of sexual assault for evidence.
By the end of this course, students will know how to document injuries, preserve and document chain of custody and collect and handle evidence.
