Typically, students who pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and who focus in Graphics and Multimedia are passionate about learning design theory and applying these theories in their own visual cultures. Because of ever expanding technologies, students must engage in a market that is always changing and growing. Students are immersed in communities of designers and artists and they learn to augment their own design experience as well as imagine innovative and fresh ways of implementing new ideas in graphic design. A Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design usually takes two to three years to acquire because along with academic work students must exercise their own techniques. The curriculum involves learning skills such as web design, branding, print media, and motion graphics. Students will integrate concepts with content in order to provide creative and realistic solutions to graphic design dilemmas. Once completed, students with their Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design will be well prepared to enter the field of graphic design and work in a challenging environment. Students will finish their degrees knowing they mastered self-discipline, technical issues, visual literacy, print publication, strategic thinking, design elements, and the professional expertise necessary to be successful in the future.
