This program is designed to prepare the individual who is interested in entering or advancing in the area of medical case management. The student will learn the components of case management including assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care of a client across the continuum of care. The program is open to nurses and other health professionals, as well as those with no health-related background.
Potential employment for medical case managers could include with insurance providers, third party administrators, integrated health care systems, physician practices, rehabilitation agencies, legal firms-attorneys practicing in worker comp and or personal injury etc, government agencies, self insured organizations or as an independent consultant.
Students with a current RN license may be awarded up to 58 semester credits for advanced standing in this degree program. Contact your academic advisor for more information.
