Teacher Intern Certificate

If you are thinking about making a career change and seeking entry into the field of teaching, the Iowa Teacher Intern Certificate program is the right choice. In addition to coursework, candidates will take part in field experiences and a year-long internship that will prepare them to teach in the secondary (grades 7-12) content areas of math, science, English, foreign language, visual and performing arts, and social studies.

After successful completion of the certificate program, candidates will be recommended to the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners to receive an Iowa Initial Teacher License.

This is a professional certificate offered by the Kaplan University School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Please note our Continuing and Professional Studies certificates are not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
