Visual Communication Associate's

Communication has never been more prevalent than it is today because of the technological advances that have spurred global interconnectivity, especially in the last decade or so. A huge part of that communication is the visual aspect. Without question, if the visual component of electronic communication weren’t present, we most likely wouldn’t be as interested in spending hours in front of our computers every day. If you have a serious interest in the visual aspect of electronic communication you might want to consider enrolling in an associate degree in visual communication program. A visual communication associate’s degree will educate students in an extremely wide range of visual communications disciplines. Generally these programs take about two years to complete, but fast track programs and online programs are available. Students can choose from a number of specialty areas on which to focus including communication design, interactive media, visual journalism, and web design. Students may participate in classes that will enhance their foundational knowledge like typography and basic illustration to more complex subject matter such as 3D modeling and rendering, publication design and web development. Students will learn about storyboard development, desktop publishing, concept development, and more. Thosewho wish to enroll in a visual communications programs should have a keen interest in technology, communication, and visual media.
