There are many military friendly colleges in Alaska. In 2017, 29 Alaska schools received Post 9/11 GI bill funds for over 3,667 students totaling over $6 million dollars. .

There are six active programs offering benefits for veterans’ education. All of these can be used to help fund a college education.
