There are many military friendly colleges in Oklahoma. According to the VA, in 2017, 129 Oklahoma schools got Post 9/11 GI bill funds for over 7,500 students totaling over $44 million dollars.

There are six active programs offering benefits for veterans’ education. If eligible, all of these may be used to help fund a college education.

Rose State College is a public, two-year institution with an “open-door” admissions policy. On campus, the Veteran Student Services Office is your liaison to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Both for certification of your veteran and veteran related education benefits. 

If a military spouse (E1-E6) and adult civilians (ages 24 and older), you may apply for the Tinker Federal Civic Leaders Scholarship. It consists of character training, team work and set amount of funds for tuition and books/fees. Members must also complete a leadership project with Tinker Air Force Base.
