There are many military friendly colleges in West Virginia. According to the VA, in 2017, 76 West Virginia schools got Post 9/11 GI bill funds for over 17,500 students totaling over $71 million dollars.

There are six active programs offering benefits for veterans’ education. If eligible, all of these may be used to help fund a college education.
